FaceTime Bug detected in iPhone, allows to hear receiver's conversation before the call is answered

This news is no less than a nightmare for Apple Smartphone users because a major bug call ‘FaceTime Bug’ is detected in Apple iPhone’s popular audio and video calling service application ‘FaceTime’. Reportedly the bug comes in play when user makes an audio or video call using FaceTime application. Considerably it is a big issue that breaching the privacy of iPhone Smartphone users.

What is the actual problem with Apple’s ‘FaceTime Bug’?

The problem comes when user makes audio or video call with FaceTime application. As soon as a person makes a call, they can immediately start hearing the audio form the other side (receiver’s side) even call is not received at receiver’s end.

What does Apple say on ‘FaceTime Bug’?

Apple has said that it has been noticed the issue and should be fix via an upcoming software update. Apple physically attempts the test. To test the problem, 9to5Mac team made a FaceTime call with iphone. They called from iphone X to iPhone XR and traced the bug. The go on to say that the issue could affect any iOS device running over iOS 12.1 or greater. And yes one can “Listen in to SoundBits of any iPhone user’s ongoing conversation without them ever knowing that you could hear them. “

‘FaceTime bug’ is this a matter to worry for iPhone users?

This is certainly a big privacy issue, considering almost everyone with an iOS device tends to use FaceTime. While one can snoop-in on conversations, the FaceTime call does ring like it should, so it isn’t completely intrusive.

What should be the precaution?

If you receive a FaceTime call on iPhone running over OS version iOS 12.1 or greater then chances are that the person that calling you, could be listening your conversation even you haven’t received that call, which is doubtlessly a scary and creepy at the same time. What worse than, if a person who is receiving a FaceTime Video call, presses the power button for lock screen (in this case call must be disconnected), their video is also sent to the caller.

So far, there is no solution provided by Apple. Therefore in this situation either you should disable the FaceTime application which will be a wise full move or if you are around your iPhone then do not continue personal or confidential conversation when your phone is ringing. We have no choice instead until a quick fix is released from Apple to kill the ‘FaceTime Bug.’
